Key: Ab major
Verse 1
Jot it down.
Matthew 5 8.
Let me quote it to you.
Jesus' words.
Blessed, literally the word blessed
fully made adequate.
Blessed are the pure in heart
for they shall see God.
God did not say
C
G
He said, blessed are the pure in heart.
The Lord's talking
about the starting place.
This is Jesus himself talking.
He says, the starting place
is with your heart.
What does your heart want?
What does your heart want?
Oh, God.
I'll tell you, Jack, what my heart wants.
I'd like to really, I'd really,
I'm almost afraid to say the words, Pastor,
but I'd like to be a man of God.
It starts in your heart.
And Jesus says,
if that heart is committed to that purpose,
and that's what purity of heart
has to do with,
there's nothing that compromises
the intent.
You may not have gotten
all the way there
yet with your mouth,
your feet, or your mind,
but the heart has made a commitment.
And Jesus says,
if the heart makes the commitment,

you will see God.

when you die in glory.
He's talking about you can see eye to eye,
face to face with the living God you worship this
morning, tomorrow morning,
and not just because you're here at
the conference
or at church on Sunday,
but because the pure in heart,
the guy that says, says, Lord,
my heart is after you.
C
God says, you do that and the change will eventually take care
and all the rest of you.
you're on route to seeing me face to face
and it'll change you.
Will somebody say hallelujah?
