Ebm
Well, that was far, away,
and we wrote that because we were sitting in America one night,
and we didn't particularly like America,
and we went over there
in the sort of mid -seventies
and tried our hardest to do our best there,
without touring like mad, but you know,
I was in the band for twenty -five years,
and if you think that I had two
birthdays at home
in those twenty -five years,
it shows long we were on the road,
it's a bit different to this day and age
where bands you know tour for two weeks
and then make an album for three years,
we had a bit, we had two weeks to make the album
and toured for three weeks,
sorry three years is what I mean.
anyway um we came
back in the mid -70s
and in the early late 70s,
if there is such a thing,
like a small, small band.
In the early late 70s,
we came back
and there was this thing called punk,
was that an enemy?
We didn't know
what the bloody hell it was.
But we thought the attitude was great
and when we spoke to these bands,
we didn't realise just how much
they'd taken from us.
Anyway, I was talking to the guys
about what we were going to play
Db
and they're considerably younger than me,
these guys, you know.
So they, that's right, isn't it, Dave?
Uh, I think I'll give you this answer.
That's me and three of you.
I'm considerably younger.
We've got a lot of molecules
passing through.
But we can't help getting old,
you know, it's the way it is.
But anyway, we, uh,
we couldn't resist doing, uh, you know,
the Pistols made some great records, you know.
We all agreed, you know,
that they sounded great
and they're really good productions.
All this stuff about they
couldn't play.
Maybe they couldn't,
but the record sounded great.
Anyway, here we go.
How did you like the song?
