    C

    During the North African Campagne

A bunch of soldier boys had

    G

    called Casino
    C
    G

The next morning, being Sunday, several
    C

of the boys went to church
    E

    A Sargent commanded the boys
    C

    in church
    F

And after the chaplain had read the prayer
    G
    Am

The text was taken up next
    C

Those of the boys who had

a prayer books took them out

But, this one boy had only a deck of cards

And so he spread them out

The Sargent saw the cards and said, "Soldier,

    put away those cards"

    After the services were over,
    G

    the soldier was taken prisoner

And brought before the Provost Marshall
    C

The marshal said, "Sergeant, why have
    G

    you brought this man here?"

"For playing cards in church Sir"

    C

"And what have you to say for

    yourself Son?"
    G

    "Much, Sir," replied the soldier

    C

The marshal said, "I hope so,
    G
    C

for if not I shall punish you more than any man was ever punished"
    F

    The soldier said, "Sir,
    C

I have been on the march for about six days

I have neither Bible nor prayer book,
    Eaug
    Am

but I hope to satisfy you, Sir

    With the purity of
    Fm

    my intentions"

    And with that,
    C

    the boy started his story
    F

"You see sir, when I look at the Ace
    G

It reminds me that there is but one God
    F

    And the deuce, reminds
    G

me that the bible is divided

    Into two parts,
    C

the old and the new testament
    F

When I see the trey, I think of the Father,
    G
    F

    Son, and the Holy Ghost
    C

And when I see the four,

I think of the four Evangelists who preached the Gospel
    F
    G
    C

    There was Matthew, Mark,
    F

    Luke and John

And when I see the five,
    C
    G

it reminds me of the five wise virgins
    F

    Who trimmed their lamps,

    there were ten of them

Five were wise and were saved,

    five were foolish
    D
    G

    And were shut out
    Fsus4
    Bb

    When I see the six,
    F

it reminds me that in six days

God made this great Heaven and Earth

    When I see the seven,

it reminds me that on the seventh day
    Bb

God rested from His great work

And when I see the eight,
    F

I think of the eight righteous persons
    Am

    God saved when he destroyed
    Dm

    this Earth
    G

    There was Noah, his wife,

their three sons, and their wives
    Csus4

And when I see the nine,
    C
    Am

I think of the lepers our Sa viour cleansed
    C
    Am

And, nine out of the ten, didn't
    D
    G

    even thank him
    Em

    When I see the ten,
    G

I think of the ten commandments
    Am

    God handed down
    C

to Moses on a table of stone
    G

When I see the king, it remind
    Bm

s me that there is but one King of Heaven
    Em

    God Almighty
    G
    Am

And when I see the Queen,
    G

I think of the Blessed Virgin Mary

    Who is Queen of Heaven,
    Em
    Am

and the Jack of Knaves is the Devil

When I count the number of spots
    D

    in a deck of cards
    G

I find three hundred sixty-five, the

the number of days in a year

There are fifty-two cards, cards, the

number of weeks in a year

    There are four suits,

the number of weeks in a month

    There are twelve picture cards,

the number of months in a year

There are thirteen tricks, the number
    C

    of weeks in a quarter
    G
    D

So, you see Sir, my pack of cards
    C
    Em

    serves me as a Bible
    Am

An Almanac, and a prayer book
    G
    D
    G

And friends, the story is true, I know
    G

    I was that soldier
    C
    G

    • Best Tuning App Ever

      MaddProfessor

I've downloaded many tuning apps before and this one is by far the best. Easy to use, super user-friendly, and they have a bunch of fun different chords and songs to help you learn new music. I highly recommend.

    • Well-Designed App

      Rose the Black Cat

I mostly use this for tuning my guitar, which this app makes ridiculously easy. It also has a large selection of songs to play along to and it helps show you which chords to play as well how to make the shapes with your fingers.

    • Got me back into playing

      Tuliketsune

I got this app to tune an old guitar, and noticed it has a feature that autoscrolls as I play chords to famous songs. For some reason, this was a lot more motivating for me than any other way of practicing guitar. Now I'm actually practicing and remembering the names of chords 🙂

    • Secret weapon

      Brad

Not only is it a tuner (best app tuner I've used personally) but it also has a metronome, games, chords, and a plethora of instruments to choose from and it's SUPER easy to navigate. I love it! Thanks for making an awesome app. From one musician to another, THANKS!!!

    • Very reliable tuner

      theNewPaul

This is a great app! Very easy to use and very reliable, if you are just starting out, you can take a big worry off your mind, by getting in tune quickly and easily with this app. Highly recommended!

    • This is the best guitar tuner ever.

      Caleb Schafli

It tunes your guitar accurately so you can get the best sound. I like all the other little games as well because they teach you how to play different chords and you can learn to identify the chords by listening to them and it is all offline.

    • Great to tune and play

      Lynae T

I love how easy it is to tune and find and play my favorite songs.
