Verse 1
(D major) I am a ski (A major) instructor.
I really ski quite (D major) well.
I'm tall and tan and (G major) handsome,
and my (A major) skis are parallel. (D major)
My poles are al (B minor) ways (A major) held just so,
as down the hill I (D major) slide.
And the ladies all ad (G major) mire me,
because (A major) I'm certified.
(D major) My skis are waxed cor (A major) rectly
for every type of (D major) snow
And I speak with an Austrian ac (G major) cent,
though I (A major) come from Idaho. (D major)
Young ladies watch me (A major) closely
and cast me glances warm. (D major)
They fondly sigh as I (G major) cristy -by
and re (A major) mark about my (D major) form
I demonstrate to (B minor) (A major) mambo the
snowplow or the (D major) stem
And if the girls get (G major) covered with snow,
I'll (A major) brush it off for (D major) them
I aid each maid (B minor) reli (A major) giously
in whatever she tries to do
(D major) And if she's real cute
I might (G major) tighten her boot
and (A major) clean her gozzles (D major) too (A major) (D major) (G major) (A major) (D major)
I'm reaching the base (B minor) of the (A major) mountain
With my student, sweet and (D major) fair
With a gesture fine I (G major) cut the line
And es (A major) cort her to a (D major) chair
And as we ascend (B minor) the (A major) mountain
I murmur in her (D major) ear
And give her the word on the (G major) things which
I've heard are (A major) needed to make a (D major) skier
So if you would be (B minor) an instructor, (A major)
pay heed to the secrets I've (D major) told
If the gal is fair, be devil (G major) -ne 'er,
be (A major) masterful and (D major) bold
Impress her with (B minor) your abil (A major) ity,
but don't let her ever say (D major) no.
Remind her that skiing with (G major) no sex involved
is (A major) nothing but cold, cold (D major) snow.
Now (D minor) that is (D major) the end (B minor) of my (A major) essay
on the ski instruction bit. (D major)
Just follow my lead
and it's (G major) guaranteed you'll
(A major) be an instant hit (D major)
You may ask,
well what (B minor) about men (A major) folks?
Don't you instruct them (D major) too?
And I say, ignore them,
it's (G major) good enough for them
(D major) They're just (A major) after them womenfolks (D major) too you
