In a corner of the closet
I'm staring at a face now
And I'm wondering whose was it
as they tell you to say cheese
Christmas trees and birthday cakes
Amusement parks and beaches
The school play done to swim me off
Still they seemed important
Frozen illusions we think of as the past
Snap! Everyone happy forever
The clothes and the hairstyles
an d faces change so fast
And the dog long gone and buried
The friends split up and moved away
The parents I thought ancient
then look carefree, young and strong
The broken cup is whole again,
And oh, what a sunny day it was
And everything that's changed is back
when I knew where I was going
Seemed there was some signpost
Through the rites of passage
and the awk ward pains of growing
Did I feel as lost as I do now
but did I forget to grin?
Snap! When am I happy forever?
Snacks, how did I get where I am
