palace butler

shouted

She
cried and
threw away

thing
The
palace maid
said,

here's
a lovely
fluffy teddy
bear

don't
like bears,
howled

want to
cuddle
anything
The
palace
guard
said
I
know
what
you'll
like!
He gave
her
the coolest,
flashiest
bike

don't
like
bikes!

poor
king didn't

what to do
He
wanted the princess

the court

the wonderful
toy maker's
shop,
they
said.

agreed
and
nodded their heads.
He makes
magic toys,
but
lives far
away.
Magic

the princess.

Seeing
her
so excited,
cheered
up the king.
He said,

then,
Princess
Ping.
They
set off
on their
long,
long journey,
over
hills
and roads
that
were twisty
and turny.
After going
over
moun
tains high
and
low,
through
the
moaning wind
and the
falling snow.
They reached
the wonderful
toy
maker
's shop.
Outside
its sparkling
windows
they
stopped.
In
the window
was a
magic display,
where tiny
tin horses
stamped
and
neighed.
Magic
balls glittered
and
bounced about.
A
real
mini
aero
plane swooped
in
and out.
Goodness,
this looks
like
the place!
said the king.
Magic
toys!
cried the princess.
Let's
go in!
Then
the
door of
the
shop opened
with
a big
bang!
Welcome,
your
High
nesses,
said
a friendly
old
man.
I'm
the
Toymaker,
he
said.
Have
you
come far?
I
make the
most special
toys
that there are.
Princess
Ping,
I see
you
need some
fun.
You
may choose
one toy,
but
only
one.
Inside
the shop,
the princess
gaped.
There were toys
in so
many
differ
ent shapes.
Fast as
lightning model
cars and
spinning tops
as bright
as
stars.
I
don't
know what to
choose,
said
Ping.
It
seemed
the toy
shop had everything.
Musical
instruments played
and
shone.
There was
even a
magic microphone.
The
toys were
so sparkly
and so,
so
bright.
But
something dusty
came
into
sight.
A
wooden box
of paints
in all
colours.
Was
it these
she'd come all this
way
to discover?
These are
special
paints,
the
toy maker
said.
You
can paint
whatever
pops
into your
head.
And whatever
you paint,
well,
it comes
to life.
Princess
Pink
stared
with won
drous eye
s.
I
can
paint
whatever
I
imagine,
she said.
I'll
never
be
bored then!
This
toy is
the best!
So she'd
paint with
her paintbrush
and
draw with
her pen.
