Verse 1
(G major) Don't think about the hours,
going (C major) round and round (G major)
About (C major) the cost of fuel,
(G major) the seed you've (A major) planted
in the ground (D major)
It'll (C major) send you crazy, (G major)
belt your (C major) head against the wall
(G major) And (C major) question why you're (D major) in the game at all (C major)
(G major) Yeah, you wait two years for decent rain
To (C major) save a thirsty crop (G major)
And (C major) now it's going yellow (G major)
Because the (A major) bloody rain won't stop (D major)
But (C major) that's the way it is (G major)
Where (C major) inland rivers flow
(G major) An (C major) irony that (D major) real bush people know
(C major) But (G major) the (C major) folks in Thargominda
(G major) Haven't (D major) seen the grass so tall
(G major) It's (C major) an ill wind that blows (G major) no good
The rain (A major) can't please us all
(D major) No com (C major) plaints in Thargominda
(G major) For (C major) out when I ring way
(G major) Smiles (C major) all round in (D major) Gidgeeland
today (C major) (G major) (C major) (D major) (C major) (G major)
And you're thinking, here we go again
With a (C major) bucket and a mop (G major)
(C major) It's been fifteen years
(G major) Since the (A major) flood went through your shop
(D major) And (C major) it's an act of God,
(G major) so insur (C major) ance doesn't pay
(G major) You (C major) turn around and start (D major) again today (C major)
(G major) While a (C major) mob of hungry Brahmin (G major) s
spread (D major) the lettuce through
(G major) If (C major) they could speak
I'm sure (G major) they'd say all's
(A major) well on the old Bak (D major) u
When (C major) they reach Windora,
(G major) fat (C major) enough to sell
The (G major) (C major) cattleman will treat (D major) his droves
well (C major) (G major) (C major) (G major) (C major) (G major) (C major)
(D major) (C major) (G major)
Yeah, you wait two years for decent rain
To (C major) save a thirsty crop (G major)
And (C major) now it's goin' yellow
Cos (G major) the (A major) bloody rain won't stop
(D major) But (C major) that's the way it is
(G major) where (C major) inland rivers flow
(G major) An (C major) irony that (D major) real bush people know (C major)
(G major) But the (C major) folks in Thargominda
(G major) haven't (D major) seen the grass so tall
(G major) It's (C major) an ill wind that blows (G major) no good,
the rain (A major) can't please us (D major) all
No com (C major) plaints in Thargominda
(G major) or (C major) Alpenahring way (G major)
Smiles (C major) all round in (D major) Giggieland today (C major) (G major)
Yeah, there's (C major) no complaints
in (D major) Giggieland today
(C major) (G major)
