  • Verse 1
    No
    one would have be
    lieved
    in
    the last

    years of the nineteenth
    century

    That human
    affairs
    were being
    watched from

    the timeless
    worlds
    of space

    No one
    could have dreamed
    that we

    were being scrutinized

    As someone
    with a microscope
    studies
    creatures

    that swarm
    and
    multiply
    in
    a drop of
    water

    Few men
    even
    considered
    the
    possibility

    of life
    on other
    planets

    And yet,
    across
    the gulf
    of space

    Minds
    immeasurably
    superior
    to ours

    regarded
    this
    Earth with
    envious
    eyes

    And
    slowly
    and
    surely

    They drew
    their
    plans
    against

    us

    Interlude 1

    Verse 2

    At midnight,
    on
    the
    12th of August

    A huge
    mass
    of
    luminous
    gas
    erupted
    from

    Mars
    and sped
    towards
    Earth

    Across
    two
    hundred
    million

    miles
    of void

    Invisibly
    hurtling
    towards
    us

    Came
    the first
    of the missiles
    that were

    to bring
    so
    much
    calamity
    to
    Earth

    Verse 3
    As I
    watched,

    there was
    another
    jet
    of gas

    Interlude 2
    It was
    another
    missile,
    starting
    on
    it's way

    Verse 4
    And
    that's
    how
    it
    was
    for

    the next
    ten
    night

    flare,
    spurting
    out
    from
    Mars

    Bright
    green,
    drawing
    a green
    mist
    behind
    it

    beautiful,
    but somehow

    disturbing
    sight

    Ogilvy,
    the
    astronomer,

    assured
    me
    we
    were in
    no
    danger

    He was
    convinced
    there
    could be
    no

    living
    thing
    on that
    re
    mote

    Forbidding
    planet

    Verse 5
    The chances
    of
    anything

    coming
    from
    Mars

    Are a
    million
    to
    one,

    he said
    (ahh)

    The chances
    of
    anything

    coming
    from
    Mars

    Are
    million
    to
    one,
    but
    still,

    they
    come

    Verse 6
    Then came
    the
    night
    the first

    missile
    approached
    Earth

    It was
    thought
    to be
    an ordinary
    falling
    star

    But
    next
    day there
    was a
    huge
    crater

    in
    the middle
    of the common

    And
    Ogilvy
    came
    to examine
    what
    lay
    there

    Verse 7
    cylinder,
    thirty
    yards
    across,

    glowing
    hot

    With
    faint
    sounds
    of movement

    coming
    from
    within

    Suddenly
    the
    top
    began
    moving,

    rotating,
    unscrewing

    And
    Ogilvy
    feared
    there
    was a man

    inside
    try
    ing
    to escape

    He
    rushed
    to the
    cylinder
    but

    the intense
    heat
    stopped
    him

    Before
    he could burn
    himself
    on
    the metal

    The
    chances
    of
    Verse 8
    anything

    coming
    from
    Mars

    Are
    a million
    to
    one,

    he said
    (ahh)

    The chances
    of
    anything

    coming
    from
    Mars

    Are
    a million
    to one,
    but
    still,
    they
    come

    Verse 9

    Yes,
    the
    chances
    of
    anything

    coming
    from
    Mars

    Are
    a million
    to
    one,

    he
    said
    (ahh)

    The chances
    of
    anything

    coming
    from
    Mars

    Are
    million
    to
    one,
    but
    still,

    Interlude 3
    they
    come

    Verse 10

    It seems
    totally
    incredible
    to me now
    that

    Everyone spent
    that evening
    as though

    it were
    just like
    any
    other

    From the
    railway station
    came

    the sound of
    shunting trains

    Ringing and
    rumbling,

    softened
    almost
    into melody
    by
    the distance

    Verse 11

    It all seemed
    so safe
    and
    tranquil

      Best Tuning App Ever

      MaddProfessor

      "

I’ve downloaded many tuning apps before and this one is by far the best. Easy to use, super user-friendly, and they have a bunch of fun different chords and songs to help you learn new music. I highly recommend.

      Well-Designed App

I mostly use this for tuning my guitar, which this app makes ridiculously easy. It also has a large selection of songs to play along to and it helps show you which chords to play as well how to make the shapes with your fingers.

      Got me back into playing

I got this app to tune an old guitar, and noticed it has a feature that autoscrolls as I play chords to famous songs. For some reason, this was a lot more motivating for me than any other way of practicing guitar. Now I'm actually practicing and remembering the names of chords 🙂

Not only is it a tuner (best app tuner I've used personally) but it also has a metronome, games, chords, and a plethora of instruments to choose from and it's SUPER easy to navigate. I love it! Thanks for making an awesome app. From one musician to another, THANKS!!!

This is the best guitar tuner ever.

It tunes your guitar accurately so you can get the best sound. I like all the other little games as well because they teach you how to play different chords and you can learn to identify the chords by listening to them and it is all offline.
