Verse 1

How does it feel

To feel nothing at all I wonder

I imagine it's grey

Like the world suddenly lost its color

Verse 2
F#
F#add9
But (F sharp major) I'd be lying if I (F sharpadd9) said
B
I hadn't wished to feel (B major) nothing at times
To feel nothing
F#
Cause (F sharp major) feelings are painful
F#add9
And I don't (F sharpadd9) wanna suffer through
B
All those (B major) moments without you
When I lost you
F#
(F sharp major) Anger and sadness
F#add9
They're (F sharpadd9) always there
They're always pretty rough
B
To (B major) cope with

Chorus 1
F#
(F sharp major) Feelings oh feelings
F#add9
You (F sharpadd9) tear me apart
B
And I wish I could start a (B major) gain
F#
But I (F sharp major) know that there's the other side
F#add9
The (F sharpadd9) one that I can't see right now
B
But I'll find (B major) it

Verse 3
F#
And (F sharp major) when I do
F#add9
B
I'll (F sharpadd9) be so better for the (B major) rest
So much better in my chest
Can you feel can you feel
F#
And (F sharp major) when you do
F#add9
B
You'll (F sharpadd9) be so happy that you (B major) felt
So happy that you dealt with it

Chorus 2
Yeah you dealt with it
F#
(F sharp major) Feelings oh feelings
F#add9
You (F sharpadd9) tear me apart
B
And I wish I could start a (B major) gain, again
F#
But I (F sharp major) know that there's the other side
F#add9
The (F sharpadd9) one that I can't see right now
B
But I'll find (B major) it

Verse 4
F#
(F sharp major) And I used to think
F#add9
That being (F sharpadd9) numb would ease the pain
B
But I was wrong (B major)
I was so wrong
F#
(F sharp major) It's just better to feel
F#add9
And (F sharpadd9) know you're alive
B
While reminding yourself that it's (B major) temporary
F#
Oh it won't last for long (F sharp major)

Barre chords ask a lot of the fretting hand. The barre course walks through hand position, pressure, and the cleanest way to land each shape. Practice barre chords

Add9 chords keep the major or minor triad and add a 9th on top, giving a brighter sound. A short course covers the shapes and where they fit. Learn add9 chords

Even perfectly fretted chords sound wrong on an out-of-tune guitar. Get in tune in seconds, right in your browser, with the free online guitar tuner
