No rock and roll, just sex
They don't seem to care about
Not really, because we were
touring most of the time.
That's what took the time.
in a more relaxed manner.
about 100 months to write.
Well, we were trying to write
and then we gave ourselves like four
to get material together.
We had to make a conscious effort
to stop to like, saying, okay, it's time,
we thought we're coming out.
So, it's not like we've been working
We weren't like building studios
and projecting like forest scenes
and getting the ambiance just right
what we've heard a lot of bands.
We're still a very primitive kind of
we're actually trying to be
like egotistical rock stars
but we just don't know how I'm just kidding that's like where our organization is
very kind of rough -and -tumble shattered messy gypsy that's us
because they're like also more positive
things on this record too
to have both those elements in the record
it gives it more of an expansive feel
I agree I agree that there's that's why we called the
record everything because I think there is a wide range of emotions
that are expressed in the song from
very dark to very hopeful
to very hopeful and I know just speaking
of the songs that I wrote
there's things about you know
total joyful in love in lust
kind of stuff like from in your room to like
like eternal flame and waiting for you
real genuinely sad stuff like to set you free,
which is like, it's over,
there's nothing I can do,
short of begging or something,
I can tell you straight away.
There's not as much silliness, maybe,
as something like walks in Egyptian,
Maybe we went a little bit deeper.
I didn't really think about it that way,
I mean, we're not on the record.
Well, see, I think anything that...
because then you'll like it longer.
I think anything that touches on
a common human experience
Whether it's on a really superficial level,
like something like Manic Monday,
which is just sort of the work -a -day world,
or if it's something a little deeper,
like something to believe in,
which is, you know, guarded
about a new relationship.
I think there are a lot of
who have experienced that before.
You know, I've already had
and said, you know, Oh my God, Crash and Burn, I felt like it so many times,
you know, how did you know? you know,
I feel like that every morning,
you know, I'm like, oh God.
You know, it's important that
we connect on a human level.
