Little kids counting down,
hours till Santa comes to town
All the houses dressed with blinking lights
A church bell ringing in the square,
fam ilies gathered everywhere
you'd think that it was Christmas
But it won't be Christmas
Tonight I miss you so much
As I sit here alone by the tree
The snow is gently falling
But there's no holiday cheer
Things are different this year
I hung your stocking right there
Your favorite candle I lit
I promise you that I'll wait
After all, what else can I do?
if you're not here with me
Tonight I miss you so much
As I sit here alone by the tree
The snow is gently falling
And carolers are singing right outside
But there's no holiday cheer
Things are different this year
As for me, I'll just wait
