The first song on the album

is called Walk on Lonely Eyes.
It was written for Roxette's
Have a Nice Day album,

which was recorded, I believe, in Spain,
outside Marbella, most of it anyway.
That song has had so many different
lyrics to it.
It was called Enjoy the Bargain
to start with,
and then I rewrote the lyrics,
and for some reason we never recorded it.
I used the melody in the chorus.
I got the request to write music
for the opening of the bridge between Denmark and Sweden in,
I think it was the year 2000 or so.
Summer of 2000, yes.
And it was supposed to be a classical piece of music,
and as you know, I'm not very good at that, but you

know, I thought that if I write like a new great melody,
someone else can do a great arrangement
around that melody.

And so I took the melody line
or the melody lines

from the chorus of Walk on Lonely Eyes.
And so that became the main theme
of this bridge.
The opening. The opening.
And you had it arranged
by Clarence Zeverman

and Christopher Lundqvist.

Yes, the Roxette producers,
they arranged it
and it was played by this huge
orchestra.
And it sounded terrific, actually.
And my demo for that version,
which was the string arrangement
by Clarence and Christopher,
it's coming out
on another Demos
and other fun stuff album later on.

we had so much you know
Have a Nice Day was
was recorded in in 1998
and it was the first album
we had a couple of years off
with Roxette,
Marie had her second child
and I was doing a solo thing
called The World
According to Gessler
and so over the years
I collected so many songs
and also Marie had a bunch of songs
so we had 33 songs to choose from

so of course more than half

of them was left out.

But you use, you always do that,

you use bits and pieces of songs that you
leave out.
I mean, and this one ended

up on a Swedish song.
As well, yeah.
Because, you know, I love
this chorus

and I always felt like it was a
little bit sad

that we didn't do it with Roxette,
because this is very much written for Marie to sing,
the lyrics and everything.
So I made a Swedish version of it called Måla mitt minne, paint my memory,
if you translate it,
which was recorded
by two Swedish artists.
And I still love that song very much.
