Verse 1
Eb
(E flat major) Taffy was a
Welshman,
Taffy was a thief,
Taffy came to my house and
stole a piece of beef.
I went to
Taffy's house,
Taffy was not home,
Taffy came to my house and
stole a marrowbone.
I went to
Taffy's house,
Taffy was away,
Taffy came to my house and
stole a silver tray.
I went to
Taffy's house but
Taffy wasn't in. I wonder if
Taffy knows that stealing is a sin.
I went to
Taffy's house to teach him
right from wrong, but
Taffy wouldn't listen.
He knew better
all along. I went to
Taffy's house.
Taffy was in bed. I took the
marrow bone and
beat him on the head. I beat him on the head,
the head. I beat him on the head.
Now
Now
Taffy understands me,
but he'll have to stay in bed.
