Well, he kicked down on that
motorcycle starter
and that motor (A major) kicked into a roar,

and he laid (G major) a strip of rubber
all the way to the grocery store. (A major)
Women were (C major) screaming
and (D major) dogs started barking,
(G major) the kids were getting a thrill,
cause he (A major) made Evel Knievel (C major) look
like he needed (D major) training wheels.
(G major) He popped himself a wheelie
across that courthouse (A major) lawn,
and he roared right up
the front (C major) stairs. (D major)
(G major) An old lady stobs up at the highway department,
fainted,
and fell right across the chair.
Well John picked (A major) up his money
and (G major) he said with a grin,
enjoyed the ride boys, (A major) (G major) thanks a lot.
And old (D major) Pete laughed and (G major) said,
boys, I could have told you,
but I think you needed a lesson or two,

was motorcycle champ
