Lithograph skies, out on the plains
Off to the side, a sea of remains
And the birds in flight, they sustain
In the night or in the dawn
And the question inside ever reigns
Is it the nature of things?
We live in a time of possibilities
For centuries past, unable to see
All the structures inside,
Can be forged from the limbs of the shame
Am I right or am I wrong?
Save our versions to change and I'll know
or is it our nemesis or foe?
If human nature can bear,
but we forgive our tradition,
Am I right or am I wrong?
Did we lose what made us strong?
To consider we might have it wrong
With an eye to the sky we feel chained
Is it the nature of things?
Is it this nature of friends?
Or is it our nemesis or foe?
If we forget our tradition,
Am I right or am I wrong?
