    sort of partial 

    to 
    a missionary 
    stew. 

    So 
    they licked 
    their lips 
    and they sharpened 
    the knives 
    when they 

    got 
    to thinking 
    about those 
    other nine 
    wives. 

    They arrived 
    at about lunchtime. 

    The 
    padre was 
    there. 

    They said, 
    sir, 
    we've 
    just dropped 

    in for 
    a snack 
    an
    d a 
    prayer. 

    He 
    said, boys, 
    I'm certainly 
    glad 
    to see that 
    when you have need
    s,

    of me. 

    He started 
    into 
    the grace with 
    great zeal, 

    but the 
    two sort of 
    interrup
    ted, 
    you know 

    what I mean, 
    to get started 
    on their meal. 

    One 
    said, 
    wait a 
    minute, 
    now you prom
    ised, and 
    it's only fair, 

    his shirt, 
    his 
    shoes and 

    his underwear. 

    So 
    a birthday 
    suit and 
    one rather 
    clergically 
    clad, 

    a 
    fine 
    sup
    per these 
    two old 
    back
    sliders 

    had. 

    A cannibal 
    convert 
    is a young 
    preacher's 
    pride, but 

    you're in 
    a missionary 
    stew if 
    he 
    up and 

    backslides.
