Verse 1
C
Where (C major) are all the bright lights?
F
I remember so well (F major)
A little bar on the corner
where we used to sit
C
And plan new ways to raise (C major) hell
Well, the bar's still there
F
I still see the (F major) lights
But the faces are solemn,
it's too quiet for me
C
F
This just can't be a Sat (C major) urday (F major) night,
C
 (C major) whatever happened
Two old friends with big grins,
F
they always had something to say (F major)
G
And there was (G major) always
somebody somewhere
C
Just dyin' to give it away (C major)
Get hip, get with it, take it to the limit
F
Always lookin' for new ways to (F major) play
And there was always
C
somebody some (C major) where
G
Just (G major) dyin' to give it away
C
G
(C major) Well, used to be crazy (G major)
C
But now I'm just (C major) strange
G
Just turn (G major) around
C
Things re (C major) arrange
F
They say that it's healthy (F major)

To go through change (C major)

By the way that she loved me
Her hand when she touched me
Our sex life was almost scary
