Verse 1
(G major) Welcome to this guided meditation
for helping you focus. (Gsus4)
Sit comfortably on your chair
or lie down on the (G major) floor
if it feels more comfortable.
Close your eyes and listen to the
sound of my voice.
While letting your body calm down
and completely re (C major) lax,
it's time to relax and focus on you.
Feel how the body gets heavier and heavier
and sinks deeper and deeper.
Try to listen to the sound
of your own breathing.
You may hear how you (Dsus4) breathe in
through your (D major) nose and out again,
once more in through the nose and
out.
(Dsus4) Now feel your body,
the head feels heavy on your neck, (D major)
the eyes sink deeper into your head,
(Dsus4) the (C major) face is completely relaxed,
and your lips may be slightly
separated.
Imagine some nice, warm hands
holding onto your head,
gentle, pleasant strokes across the forehead,
inside from the middle and out,
so your face and mind can completely relax.
(G major) Be aware that you can relax your mind,
just like you can with any other part
of your body. (C major)
(G major) Return to your breathing, (C major)
(G major) listen without trying to change anything,
just notice it,
you're not checking anything now.
You breathe an (C major) d you
let it flow.
Bring attention to your stomach.
Allow the stomach to relax completely.
Feel how the stomach rises
when you get air in through the nose,
and how it lowers again
when you exhale air.
Your breathing lets your
stomach relax completely.
(Dsus4) Now pay attention to your legs,
getting (D major) heavier and heavier.
They sink deeper and deeper down
to the chair or (Dsus4) floor.
Your thighs are heavy,
your (D major) knees are relaxed,
and allow your lower legs
to com (Dsus4) pletely relax. (C major)
Feel how the soles of your feet
feel heavy against the floor,
they are so heavy
that you would not be able to lift them,
even if you tried.
Your whole body is
completely relaxed.
Your breathing flows calmly
and helps you go deeper and deeper.
Feel how relaxed you are. (G major)
Air comes into your body
and out again. (C major) (G major)
Remember that you
can always return
to this feeling of complete relaxation.
Once you are here,
you can let (D major) all worries flow away.
You can just be present right here,
(C major) right now.
Now, slowly start making tiny movements
with your feet.
Keep your eyes closed,
and when you are ready for it,
you'll slowly move your body to
or sit up in a comfortable (Dsus4) way
with (D major) your eyes closed.
With eyes still closed,
rub your palms against each other.
(Dsus4)
(D major) Allow good heat to form
between the (Dsus4) hands.
Slowly bring your hands
in (D major) front of your closed eyes.
Feel the heat from your hands,
(C major) and now slowly open your eyes
behind your hands.
Let your hands fall down
on your thighs
or where it feels comfortable.
Thank yourself for taking
time to focus on you. (G major)
