It was the week before Christmas,
anticipating Santa Claus coming to town
Then in the woods we came across,
a sight everybody should see
Was Santa himself, the jolly old elf,
talking to a droopy little Christmas tree
Now don't feel bad, droopy,
Cause I got a job for you
apart from all the others
But before I tell you about this job,
that your deed will live forever
in the Master's Hall of Fame.
It happened last Christmas, Groupie,
I almost missed a tiny cabin
that was covered up with snow.
Well, I landed by the chimney,
I heard a small boy's voice
He said, Lord, I want you to tell Santa
please not to be mad at me
have snowed so hard last night,
we'd have had a Christmas tree
And Lord, I want you to tell Santa
Because I know that I'll never miss
the toys that I never even had
I guess it's like Mom and
after all had said and done
when you sent us down your son.
Lord, before I say goodbye,
that I wish you'd send to me.
that's small and frail like me.
Now, Lord, you bless everybody,
and you keep us all from sin.
And happy birthday to your dear son,
