Thank you, thanks very much
And now would you please
welcome back on stage, Slim Dusty
Well thank you very much indeed Anne
Well anyway,
we'd like to do this song
about my first trip to Sydney with my dad. I
was going to dress up in all the stockman gear
with the laughing side boots,
the elastic side boots.
And dad said if you dress up like that
they'll call us bushkalooks.
So I had to dress like a civilian
and buy a brand new pair of flat
-heeled lace -up shoes.
That was back in 1943.
So here's the story
about that very memorable trip with dad.
so I just naturally called it Lace -Up Fuse.
How did you like the song?
