Sunday evening service too
Tuesday evening visitation,
Wednesday night the church was praying,
a fellowship of sinners bound by love.
And thinking of how I grew up,
all those sweet old times,
I almost hear God whispering to
Every time the doors were open
Every time the doors were open
I showed how much I cared
Bending hearts that life had broken
Hearing every prayer spoken
Every time the doors were open,
Every the doors were open,
I knew every room and hall.
It was home when I was small
I remember sermons I heard then
I always knew that God had made me
Knew that Jesus died to save me
And one night I invited Jesus in
Recalling all the ones who came
and knelt down in that place,
I think how hearts were reborn again,
Every time the doors were open,
Every time the doors were open,
I showed how much I cared
Mending hearts that life had broken,
hearing every prayer spoken
Every time the doors were open,
Every time the doors are open,
I'll show how much I care.
Bending hearts that life has broken,
hearing every prayer spoken.
Every time the doors are open,
